For Salone del Mobile 2025, Acerbis presents a new and evocative visual narrative, where matter takes form through a dialogue of diverse and complementary languages. A stage of ideas that gracefully balances and coherently unites new design visions, original graphic expressions, and a continuous exploration between innovation and memory.
Alongside forward-looking perspectives, Acerbis also revisits its heritage with the re-edition of an iconic design by Claudio Salocchi from the 1960s—a testament to how the past can still resonate with the language of the present. First unveiled at the eighth edition of Salone del Mobile in 1969, the Palla armchair returns as the centerpiece of the Acerbis Remasters collection, reaffirming its relevance more than half a century after its debut.
Avant-garde in both its formal language and its approach to seating, the Palla armchair deconstructs the sphere into a harmonious fusion of playfulness and function. The seat and footrest, conceived as interconnected elements, come together in a fluid, dynamic system where comfort is expressed through generous volumes and a sartorial attention to detail.
Now offered in its original dimensions and available in fixed or swivel versions with a return mechanism, Palla has been updated with optimized comfort while retaining its expressive strength. It remains a design that challenges convention, bringing to contemporary interiors not only a striking aesthetic but also the pioneering, libertarian spirit of an unrepeatable era in Italian design.
Beyond simple reissues, the 2025 collection represents an intergenerational dialogue—where emerging talents and long-standing collaborators come together to shape new narratives in contemporary design.
Olimpia Zagnoli introduces Gigiona, a modular and deconstructible project that marks her debut in the Acerbis universe. Her signature visual style—bold graphic lines and iconic colors—traces the contours of a female figure in this design, while Philippe Malouin’s sculptural approach gives rise to furniture defined by essential gestures and formal discipline.
Philippe Malouin’s new collection, Trench, proposes a radical reinterpretation of contemporary upholstery through a novel grammar of comfort. Featuring sofas and armchairs, Trench is distinguished by a singular fluid curve that seamlessly defines both seat and backrest—resulting in an essential, almost primal volume that surprises with its welcoming presence.
Entirely upholstered down to the base, the system rests on two perpendicular legs that enhance its visual lightness and architectural identity. The armrests, available in both fixed and movable versions, can be repositioned at will, offering a highly versatile and customizable seating experience.
Acerbis also unveils Le Cupole, the new table by Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces—a refined expression of formal balance and material presence. Inspired by the purity of architectural geometry, this sculptural table translates the discipline of design into an elegant, monumental piece where every detail reflects precision and harmony.
Three marble domes—available in precious Calacatta Oro and Nero Marquinia—form the base and support the top with striking visual lightness. Soft curves and carefully measured proportions generate a sense of dynamic refinement, while brass inserts add a crafted touch and gleaming highlights. A contemporary creation, Le Cupole commands attention with quiet theatricality, effortlessly enriching any interior.
