Light and colors in Archibald Anniversary Limited Edition for the 110 years of Poltrona Frau

On the occasion of Poltrona Frau's 110th anniversary, the historic Italian brand entrusted visual artist Felipe Pantone with the reinvention of Archibald - the iconic and distinctive armchair designed in 2009 by Jean-Marie Massaud.

The artist looks at the contemporary and digital age with creativity, exploring in particular the light spectrum and the perception of color. This artistic research led to the graphic designs that permeate Pantone's works: the vibrant chromatic shades perceived by the eye are the sum of the many colored pixels covering Archibald Anniversary Limited Edition.

An intricate map of tones going from cold to warm, interrupted by dynamic flashes of light that emphasize the minimal line of the legendary armchair. In this new, revolutionary edition, it changes its surface while retaining its distinctive nature and, through the pixelated pattern, brings the concept of light and color perception into home design.

Felipe Pantone was inspired by the palette of Poltrona Frau's ColorSphere to design the chromatic grid on the leather cover of Archibald; the thin legs and the metal base of the armchair are finished in iridescent and glistening shades.

Archibald Anniversary Limited Edition is available in a limited number of 110 pieces, each equipped with a Pelle Frau Allure clutch, a signed certificate of authenticity and a dedicated Pelle Frau leather cleaning kit.

Archibald Anniversary Limited Edition sets Poltrona Frau on the path towards a more sustainable future: Pelle Frau Colorsphere is an "Impact Less" leather, it is made using a chrome-free process that reduces the use of water and chemical components.
