Born in France in 2014 Coedition immediately distinguished itself as an avant-garde furniture brand, where the great internationally renowned designers could share their values and their creations with the best Italian master craftsmen.
Coedition knows how to furnish both domestic environments and public spaces such as restaurants and hotels with originality and elegance. The basis is extensive research and the study of innovative technologies, but above all the particular attention to sustainability and the quality of raw materials.
Patricia Urquiola is the first of those internationally renowned designers who contributed to the growth of the prestige of this relatively young but respected furniture brand. Her collection for Coedition is called Dalya and debuted in 2020 with a lounge armchair, a structure in solid natural oak or in solid black-stained ash with its seat and backrest upholstered in fabric.
In 2022 the collection continues with two new seating models: Chaise Dalya and Bridge Dalya. Patricia Urquiola's design is minimal and compact, offering in the same moment a feeling of extreme comfort and relaxation, thanks to the generous volumes enclosed in reduced proportions.
Sebastian Herkner is one of the new talented designers who, again in 2022, has created the Nuage collection for Coedition, a series of coffee tables that draws inspiration from clouds, and that seeks to enhance artisan technique and its beauty. The base is in bronze lacquered metal or patinated brass finish. The hand-cast ceramic tops are in green, terracotta or cream. Three different sizes and three different colours to create families of tables in an original and poetic game.
Marco Zanuso Jr was one of the first creators for Coedition. In fact, in its foundation year, he designed the Brera collection of desk, console and bench. The first is called Bureau Brera, with its black or walnut stained ash top, and black or chromed lacquered legs.
“In this collection”, Zanuso writes about Brera, “I wanted to design objects that are visually light, but at the same time robust and well made, paying great attention to the choice of materials. […] Objects that adapt in a discreet and inimitable way to both domestic interiors and public spaces. I wanted slim, tidy shapes and - as Vico Magistretti said - I wanted to create a simple object that was also the most complicated thing in the world. "
Stools with structure and seat in natural varnished oak or solid black stained oak. The Dom collection represents the will of Marco Zanuso Jr to once again create discreet and original accessories, suitable for furnishing any environment in a functional way.
Bibliothèque Solferino, 2015, design by Marco Zanuso Jr. A perfect bookcase to dress every area of the house with elegance and functionality, from the entrance to the living room, to the bedroom. The frame is in black lacquered metal, deliberately in contrast with the six shelves in natural varnished oak.
