De Castelli launches its new GLYPHĒ collection at Salone del Mobile 2023, an experimental journey centred on enhancing the potential of metal. The selection includes elegant and sophisticated tables, cabinets and consoles, elements with a unique aesthetic appeal that are enhanced by brass becoming exclusive home décor pieces.
Highlights include two new metal tables that have been handcrafted in keeping with the brand's style. The Xilo coffee table echoes the charm of Art Nouveau with its rounded brass plates creating an irregular effect and a textured pattern that is typical of artisan manufacture. The Folio table has a clean, streamlined and majestic presence, which is further enhanced by a reflective surface and an interplay of light and shadow.
The collection is joined by Ripple, a sinuously shaped cabinet recalling the fluidity of water that contains two spaces hidden from sight by two doors that open at an angle of 180 degrees. The sculptural design of the cabinet lets you lose yourself in its metal curves and makes it perfect for embellishing living and dining areas. Designed for the same spaces, the Sinestesia console table features curved vertical slabs and a rounded top. Its special geometric shape lends it a particularly expressive character, partly due to the juxtaposition of the polished outer surface and the textured surface of the metal plates.
The Airframe bookcase is also graced by metal. It consists of asymmetrical elliptical rings that intersect with four horizontal shelves, together creating a dramatic design with a powerful presence. Last but not least, Monolìte is a vertical partition brimming with geological influences, which is formed by two parenthesis-shaped slabs that face each other emitting a hidden light.
