Horizontal, vertical or free-standing, radiators are not only chosen for being functional but also because they make the environment a place of wellbeing, reflecting the style and personality of the furniture. On the one hand, they are technical elements, further oriented towards sustainability and the environment. On the other, they become decorative accessories with a strong character, able to characterise walls or corners. The sense of domestic warmth combines with minimal design forms giving rise to furnishings like the Tubone or Waffle radiator by Antrax IT and Soho by Tubes.
Inspired by the classic shape of the namesake sweet treat, the Waffle radiator for the living room, designed by Piero Lissoni for Antrax IT, reinterprets the form and materials of the classic cast iron radiator. Made of recycled cast aluminium and water-powered, Waffle is designed to be modular and approachable and it can be replicated up to five elements, developed horizontally or vertically. Recognisable by its surface featuring a relief texture which makes it unique and exclusive, it is suitable for any setting. Available in eleven embossed powder-coated finishes, some of which are completely new, the radiator ensures excellent performance and a high radiation power. A beautiful handle in walnut or natural ash becomes the perfect addition in the bathroom.
“Conceived by Daniel Libeskind for Antrax IT, Android stands for its shape characterised by geometric facets and the technology used, always oriented towards sustainability. The radiator is indeed made from 100% recyclable materials and requires a minimal amount of water, with considerable energy savings. All this without forgetting its high thermal performance. Available in over 200 colour options, Android can be equipped with a steel towel-rail handle to be placed either vertically or horizontally. The design is one of its greatest features: like a sheet of paper, folded repeatedly, its form creates shadows that enhance even further its sculptural and dynamic silhouette.”
Perfect synthesis of design and efficiency, the Soho radiator by Tubes reinterprets classic and traditional lines in a modern way. Available in the vertical, horizontal or free-standing single or double column solutions, Soho conveys a minimal and refined aesthetic, thanks to the combination of recycled aluminium profiles available in different colours. Its heating system providing significant water saving and its flexibility make it a much cherished option among the eco-sustainable solutions. In 2021 the Soho electric power version was introduced.
“The iconic shapes of the Milano radiator by Tubes come to life again in a new horizontal free-standing version that can be installed vertically floor-standing, wall-mounted, remaining suspended a few centrimetres from the floor. Its structure, sinuous and dynamic, makes it a furnishing element suitable for any setting, that can also be placed in unexpected places. Milano/horizontal is electric-powered and it can be connected to a wireless thermostat allowing for its control thanks to a customized programming. The free-standing version can be easily placed, adding an eccentric and artistic touch to any room. Made of modular elements, it is available in more than 260 shades”.
“With simple and clean lines, the Tubone radiator by Antrax IT is characterised by an oval ring consisting of a tubular element with a 60 mm diameter and two 180 degree curves. The rounded shape becomes a distinctive feature making a statement in any setting, to frame a wall, through the combination or juxtaposition of more elements, or to customise a corner, as the radiator can also be installed on the floor. Available in over 200 colours, Tubone can be chosen in contrasting or monochromatic colour schemes.
