Dooq, the new collection of furniture with sinuous shapes

A perfect synthesis of creativity and excellent quality, the Portuguese design brand Dooq amazes again at the Salone del Mobile 2022. New products with sensual geometries, such as the upholstery of the Marlon collection designed in collaboration with Pietro Franceschini, conquer the scene and emphasise the the company's sensory and sophisticated approach. The continuous search for a balance between opposites gives life to a language in constant evolution that combines, often in a playful way, unusual geometries and materials, as in the pieces of the Nouvelle Vague collection.

The splendid Kisho wooden sideboard is born from the encounter between West and East. Its sinuous surface reveals all the refined artistic techniques used and the influence of Japanese Modernism, clearly present in the natural lines and nuances. Equipped with hinged doors, Kisho has a lacquered MDF structure that stands on natural travertine feet. Small metal applications in polished brass, copper and nickel make the furniture even more precious, perfect for embellishing private and commercial spaces.

Presented at the Salone del Mobile 2022, the Marlon collection, designed by the well-known architect Pietro Franceschini, is among the clearest representations of Dooq's creative language. The pouf, armchair, sofa and bench are modelled following soft and sculptural curves. The oversized legs and clean lines enhance the mohair velvet of the upholstery, giving a candid feeling to the whole composition. A playful image that gives way to the comfort of the seat and combines the classic world with the contemporary one.

Designed in 2022 and presented during the last edition of the Salone del Mobile, the Nouvelle Vague collection reflects the designers' intent to look to the future, with new experiments and material combinations. Pieces of hand-painted ceramic with a crackle glaze are juxtaposed around a central plane in an orderly manner to create a movement similar to that of waves. The grooved effect brings to mind the very moment they meet the ocean.

The collection includes a centrepiece, a coffee table and a console available in different shades.

On the one hand there is the elegance of the irregular and rounded shapes, on the other the originality of the material combinations with natural or red travertine and ash. The L'anamour coffee table set plays with a surprising mix of neutral tones and delicate materials, revealing the wood inlays and the natural imperfections of the surface and enhancing the intrinsic connection of the elements, which almost seem to complement each other. It is a perfect and passionate relationship. Perfect for embellishing living rooms or commercial spaces, the L'anamour coffee table set easily adapts to any style.
