Euroluce 2023: the latest trends in lighting design

Architecture, design and technology come together at Euroluce 2023, scheduled to take place at the Milan Rho Fiera from the 18th to the 23rd of April 2023. A brand new layout has been designed for the event, allowing visitors to enjoy a new experience among international brands, exhibitions and installations, as they follow a single circular path. Bomma, Brokis and Tom Dixon will showcase their bold and precious designer lamps.

Eye-catching light installations will be the stars of Bomma's 250 square metre exhibition booth, designed by Studio Salaris for Euroluce 2023. The brand's selection includes the Buoy, Ama, and Divina collections, as well as a special edition product, De Castelli X Pyrite. These sculptural pieces represent the very best of the art of glassmaking, surviving trends and remaining timeless.

Inspired by the symbolism and distinctive shape of buoys, the Buoy collection pursues a stylistic harmony between function and sculptural aesthetic, combining shapes resembling those used in the brand's early pieces with striking mouth-blown crystal elements. The result is a spectacular and bold luminous object which stands out for its unparalleled artisan details. Each piece is available in two different shapes and three colour finishes: clear, opaque white and smoke.

Bomma's Ama collection is named after the Japanese female pearl divers. The series evokes the delicate shells of mussels and features a cut-crystal structure that contains the LED light source, producing a romantic glow through a special titanium nitride coating. Available in three colours and in both open and closed versions, each piece can be used individually or grouped together in clusters. As in all Bomma productions, this collection stands out for its supreme craftsmanship.

Luminous beauty and ongoing experimentation are the defining qualities of Brokis, which will be exhibiting three new collections at Euroluce 2023, in addition to the ones already presented at the Archiproducts Awards competition in 2022. Conceived by the design duo of VRTIŠKA & ŽÁK, the approximately 300 square metre exhibition booth shows a contemporary take on light, using both mouth-blown glass and new, versatile materials.

Created by juxtaposing different volumes and textures, the Overlay collection by Brokis seems to be floating, as if the central line were levitating. The luminous tube is wrapped in a circular structure of frosted or clear glass and, depending on the variant, it can stand on a concrete or metal base. Available in pendant, wall and table versions, Overlay is a versatile object inspired by architecture, perfect for any domestic or contract space.

For Euroluce 2023, Tom Dixon launches several lighting collections interpreted as sculptures of light, with unexpected colours and combinations. All products will provide greater flexibility of use, adapting to any space and décor.

With its rich colour palette, endless configurations and unique combinations of materials, Tom Dixon's magnetic and eye-catching Choice collection of lamps is intended to express the ability to choose. Light is not just a functional element but rather becomes an integral part of the interior décor. The frame consists of a conical metal part with perfect or distorted crystal spheres in a translucent finish. Available in gold, silver and copper, Choice includes the Puff, Portables, Cone Fat and Wingback lamps, which can be customised in hundreds of colours and fabrics.
