Designed by Norm Architects in 2021, the new Cask family consists of an armchair, a sofa and various seats without backrests. It stems from a measured balance between the timeless beauty of wicker and an innovative, refined design. Versatile and comfortable, the Cask family furniture features geometric simplicity and a sophisticated allure. The structure consists of two circular rattan elements connected by vertical bars and adorned with soft contrasting cushions.
The contemporary contours of the Cask family fully reflect Expormim's new design concept that transforms a traditional material like rattan into a special, fresh and modern finish. Each handcrafted piece of furniture is both durable, sustainable and adds value to a material with a long and rich history.
Considered one of the classics of the Expormim collection, the Copa armchair enchants with its majestic profile. The high back recalls a flower bud and gives a warm embrace to those who sit on it. The geometric pattern outlines the natural rattan structure and reveals the cushioned seat that appears almost suspended.
The flexibility of the shell-shaped backrest and the softness of the upholstered seat ensure outstanding comfort and a contemporary look. The versatility of the Huma armchair, designed by Mario Ruiz, has been enhanced with the development of six different versions, all of them with an individual feel. Swivel legs and rattan elements blend with the frames, creating contemporary designer pieces that are perfect for home and office.
The Armadillo armchair, winner of three prestigious design awards, was conceived as a reinterpretation of Papasan, one of the most famous rattan furniture classics. Its new identity, envisioned by the MUT Design studio in 2020, emphasizes the round and enveloping silhouette while recalling, in terms of visual appearance at least, the typical shapes of the eponymous animal. It is a hymn to peace and relaxation, an opportunity to indulge in a restful break and appreciate the beauty of the different finishes and cushions in natural or artificial leather.
