The Autumn-Winter 2022 collection from Ferm Living is entirely focused on decorative art and the art de la table. Its design is characterised by sculptural shapes, fascinating geometric figures, a celebration of the material and innovative production techniques such as 3D printing.
Sculptures, vases, candles, bookends, centrepieces and other accessories: if it is true that details make the difference, this applies especially to Ferm Living’s works of art. They are able to enchant, catch the eye and create magic atmospheres during long, cosy evenings spent with family or friends.
Originating from water, fire and the human hand that shapes the material, Shape Sculpture is a series of four sculptural geometric figures handcrafted in Italy, using clay from the River Po. They present a rough surface and irregular edges, demonstrating the uniqueness of every single handcrafted piece. The figures are perfect as bookmarks or objects of decorative art.
Contour Piece takes its name from the French word for “edge”, that is the profile outlined by its graphic lines and fascinating shapes. It is a sculpture made of powder-coated iron that, when placed on a small table or a windowsill in a room, definitely cannot go unnoticed.
Light, hard-wearing, versatile. Spun Alu is a vase made entirely of aluminum with a black metallic finish. Its slender shape is enhanced even further by the metal's manufacturing process which gives it its name and that makes it suitable for any home setting: it can either be used as a flower or plant pot or as a paper bin for the office.
Once again, Ferm Living uses a French word: “moiré”, that indicates a “graphic effect resulting from the combination of the organic and the geometrical”. The sinuous waves characterising the surface of the Moire vase are interwoven with the thin horizontal patterns obtained from the 3D clay printing process, creating fascinating and surprising effects.
The inspiration is drawn from classic fountains, from which the Fountain vase has inherited its elegance and refinement. Scuplture, vase or centrepiece: the versatility of this ceramic decorative object is unparalleled, like its charm and its capacity to attract everyone’s attention. One of the contrasts it presents is between the inside and the outside: the exterior is textured with a matte surface, the inside is finished with a transparent glaze.
The Erode candleholder owes its name to its appearance recalling the way wind and water erode metal, sculpting unexpected landscapes. This effect is emphasised even further by the raw surface which, besides stimulating the sight, involves another of the five senses, that of touch. Erode is the ideal solution to decorate, brighten and warm the dining table.
The Omhu tableware collection is a tribute to Italian art and artisan know-how. Its name, Omhu, makes reference to a Danish word, meaning “making an effort”, the same involved in any handcrafting process. Bowls, centrepieces and plates are made of stoneware, all presenting a splatter pattern which makes every piece of the collection unique and exclusive.
Ferm Living’s Autumn-Winter 2022 collection includes the unmissable candles from the Stala and Torno series. The Stala candle is a unique piece with organic shapes that recall stalagmites, the rock formations which rise up from the floor of caves. The Torno candles, instead, come in a set of three and showcase the combination of pale colours and sculptural shapes, which creates warm, magic and welcoming atmospheres.
