The Flowerpot is one of Verner Panton's most emblematic creations, perfectly embodying his unconventional artistic vision. This timeless masterpiece, now reissued by &Tradition, features a broad range of models and finishes reflecting the eternal elegance of this iconic design. With the creation of the Flowerpot in 1968, Verner Panton sought to innovate the world of lighting with a never-before-seen lamp, introducing the use of brilliant enamel and colorful cords for the first time.
A student of Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton began experimenting from an early stage, particularly with circles and spheres, which became integral elements in his designs. The name "Flowerpot", chosen by Panon himself during the era of the "flower power" movement", embodies the cultural openness of that time as well as the values of harmony and peace that inspired him.
The playful yet minimalist design -consisting of two semi-spherical shades placed above the other- transcends its functionality, imbuing the space with character and creating an atmosphere brimming with color and creativity.
Among its latest reissues, &Tradition introduces the Flowerpot VP10, a smaller 16-cm suspension versionalong with the new Flowepot VP1 and VP10 chandeliers, drawing inspiration from the immersive installations envisioned by Verner Panton.
The Flowerpot collection includes pendant, table and wall lamps, offering limitless possibilities for personalized and unique styling.
Nearly every model is available in the 14 colors introduced by the brand over time, along with Panton's original black & white pattern for the pendants and chandeliers.
