Born and raised in Milan, Francesco Binfaré has woven together art and industry since his youth, developing a design philosophy at once original and deeply considered. After years as a creative director and cultural instigator, he joined Edra in 1992, beginning a collaboration that would redefine the very idea of the sofa. Binfaré designs to move people: his pieces are expressive tools, adaptable to daily life, stimulating the senses, and creating new relationships between body, space, and object. Underpinning every work is a genuine pursuit of freedom, beauty, and wonder.
The Standard sofa adapts effortlessly to its surroundings.
