Designed in 2021 by Antonio Citterio for Flexform, the sofa collection by Groundpiece has soon become one of the brand’s best-selling products.
With innovative shapes and bold sizes, this upholstered sofa is characterised by a low seat and a versatile armrest. The idea of the designer was to realise a furniture piece suited to a contemporary lifestyle, able to suggest new habits like working at the computer, having dinner and reading a book.
Available in two depths, of 97 and 122 cm, the sofa from the Groundpiece collection by Flexform, stands out for a low and welcoming body, perfect to offer you moments of relaxation. The large cushions can be customised at will and filled with goose feather or dacron, and, since 2017, they can be chosen in the premium version, perfectly combining the two materials. With an easily removable cover, the sofa becomes a comfortable, soft island placed at the centre of the space.
Modular and with neat shapes, the Groundpiece sofa collection is characterised by a timeless aesthetic and simple lines. Proposed in a different size from that of the time of its creation, the sofa is made up of a modular structure that can be designed and configured according to one’s own needs. In addition to the classic upholstery, it can be designed as a low metal container covered in leather, fully embedded into the main structure. A furnishing within the furniture itself.
