Gubi dedicates the new Fall 2022 collection to the time spent together at home: a new attentive, intimate and sincere way of designing a domestic space dedicated to sharing precious and memorable moments. The choice of the furniture and objects you surround yourself with aims to satisfy our personal attitudes and needs, and to reflect the way in which you want to live your daily life. In this way, furnishings and lighting become constitutive elements of fluid and multifunctional spaces in which to gather to generously share time and build memories.
Presented in 2012, Beetle is still the most important piece of the collaboration between Gubi and the GamFratesi designers. The new, intriguing Beetle version in 3D Veneer enhances the sinuous shape inspired by the shell of the beetle. Flexibility and elegance, a delicate design to which the innovative 3D veneer gives a fresh new expression.
In 1957 Joe Colombo designed the Basket collection, finding his inspiration in the artisan weaving technique of wicker in rattan, from which it takes its famous name. Today Gubi re-proposes the collection by elaborating an innovative approach to the material. The materiality of the texture contrasts with the round and inviting shapes of the cushions, creating an overall inviting look with a strong aesthetic character.
The Doric coffee table follows on from the Epic collection, also by GamFratesi, and how this echoes classical art, in its monumental forms and in the use of travertine marble. Inspired by its namesake the ancient Greek architectural order, Doric stands out for its pure lines and symmetrical appearance. Its sculpted legs curve inwards: the removal of a part of the volume evokes the distinctive groove of the Doric column.
It is said that Mads Caprani was scribbling question marks when he came up with the idea for his Timberline Lamp. The sinuous curves and natural materials result in a sleekly shaped lamp that lends charm and elegant arrogance to any interior.
