Polycarbonate 2.0 is a material that features a renewable, second-generation polymer produced via synthesis and partially deriving from industrial cellulose and paper waste, ISCC-certified (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification). The use of this performative material ensures a reduction of up to 60% in the environmental impact in terms of carbon dioxide emissions, granting absolute resistance and flexibility to the product.
In line with commitment and a strong innovation spirit, Kartell introduces in its catalogue 2021 new products and iconic pieces restyled in new recycled materials, in a broad range of finishes, colours and fabrics made of refined eco-friendly fibres.

Wood, a highly renewable and recyclable material, is processed through an environmentally friendly manufacturing cycle, based on specific safety measures aimed at the responsible preservation of environmental, social and economic standards.
Using only a very fine layer of wood, the manufacturing process is carried out with a mould that takes the 3D curving to the very edge of the panel in two directions, conveying roundness and three-dimensionality to the product both horizontally and vertically.
Kartell's ongoing research and the progressive innovation in industrial processes, have led to the creation of the iconic Componibili employing a biopolymer made from renewable raw materials, derived from non-GMO agricultural waste and not intended for the food chain. The product has obtained the international TÜV Austria certification with the maximum star rating. "
