Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, the stylistic harmony of 3 great design master.

Iconic and forward-looking figures of the international architecture panorama, Le Corbusier's, Pierre Jeanneret's and Charlotte Perriand's delineated the new contours of daily living, focusing their architecture research on people and their needs. The three designers have always had a close and familiar relationship that led to the conception of simple and functional products, designed for apartments and for new dwelling contexts where objects meet specific needs. Many iconic pieces are still part of Cassina's permanent collections, and have been listed among the most wanted items of the XXth century.
Characterized by gentle, soft lines, the LC4 Chaise longue best expresses the three artists' idea of functional design. It was conceived in 1928 and made famous in 1965 by Cassina, which owns the exclusive rights. Defined by Le Corbusier as "a relaxing machine", it is deprived of any ornament or decoration to show only the purity of its curved shape. The reclined structure oscillates, stabilizing itself according to the weight and inclination of the human body and offering maximum ergonomics and total relaxation.

Also known as Fauteuil à dossier basculant, the LC1 chair designed by Le Corbusier, Jeanneret and Perriand, features a steel-framed structure inspired by traditional British office chairs. The tilting backrest complements the cubic shape and emphasizes the armrests, made with leather straps. In the "Villa Church" version, Charlotte Perriand's feminine touch is unveiled through the use of soft upholstery and blue satin fabric.

"Casiers Standard" is an emblem of the three design masters' architectural genius. This storage furniture system completely transforms the internal configuration of domestic spaces, introducing the concept of everyday living. Cassina reissues the 18 fixed compositions in a modern and fresh look, while retaining the structural elements, which can be combined and stacked, designed with a predefined module. The famous pilotis by Le Corbusier are re-proposed as a support for the compartments and create practical wall units.
