MDF Italia at Salone del Mobile 2025: redefining form through lightness and modularity

Balancing essential geometries, artisanal inspiration, and a continuous interplay between comfort and structure, MDF Italia unveils at Salone del Mobile 2025 a collection that remains true to the brand’s core values: aesthetic clarity, material research, and sustainability.

Conceived by Jean-Marie Massaud, Marco Lavit, George Yabu & Glenn Pushelberg, Xavier Lust, and Neuland Industriedesign, the collection presents a vision of contemporary living where sartorial detail, lightweight structures, and disassemblable solutions define a new design language.

Goom MDF

Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, Goom is a modular system that redefines comfort through a sculptural, precisely calibrated aesthetic. Clean lines and generous volumes meet in an invitation to deep, immersive relaxation, highlighted by oversized cushions and distinctive detailing at the edges that plays with the contrast between weight and suspension.

Fully disassemblable and composed of a wide range of elements—including chaise longues, ottomans, corner units, and optional armrests—Goom is conceived for flexible, made-to-measure configurations.

Neil MDF

Structural minimalism meets artisanal craftsmanship in the Neil Leather Armchair by Jean-Marie Massaud. This refined design pairs the lightness of a steel frame with the rich materiality of full-grain leather, entirely handcrafted. The taut leather upholstery, tensioned between the metal profiles, highlights the precision of its visible stitching and tone-on-tone dyed edges.

A piece that merges formal rigor with the sensuality of natural materials—ideal for sophisticated contemporary interiors.

Cantle Mdf Italia

Inspired by the equestrian world, the Cantle armchair by Marco Lavit is defined by a curved backrest that recalls the rear of a saddle—an ergonomic feature that offers both support and a sense of embrace. The distinctive V-shaped brackets serve as both functional and decorative elements, reducing the volume of the padding and revealing the elegance of the double-sided leather and fabric upholstery.

The Cantle Low Table echoes the same graphic, lightweight silhouette, with a steel frame that reprises the collection’s signature detail. Available in various wood and lacquer finishes, it is designed for dynamic, flexible modular arrangements.

Archie MDF

Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, Archie is a chair that balances structural integrity with visual lightness. Slender legs flow seamlessly into a curved backrest, creating a continuous, sculptural form. Each visible joint reveals a thoughtful construction process—a deliberate trace of the design’s integrity.

Fully disassemblable and developed in line with circular economy principles, Archie embodies the meeting of inventive design and MDF Italia’s technical expertise.

Designed by Xavier Lust, S Table is defined by its sculptural base with a distinctive S-shaped twist—a hallmark of the Belgian designer’s language of dynamic, flowing curves.

The base comes in Cristalplant®—a hypoallergenic, non-toxic, technologically advanced material—or in cement, available in white and anthracite, both suitable for outdoor use.

With the Cristalplant® base, the tabletop options include Cristalplant®, marble, and matte lacquer. The cement version is offered in a monomaterial configuration or paired with a glass top, available in transparent, extra-clear, or smoked finishes.

With its diverse materials and finishes, S Table lends itself gracefully to residential and contract environments, indoors or out.

Rock Mdf Italia

Jean-Marie Massaud’s Rock Table blends the elegance of fluid form with the solidity of material. The lightweight top appears to float above the substantial concrete base, creating a striking contrast between mass and visual lightness.

Available in a wide range of finishes—from wood to lacquer to gritted concrete—and in various heights and dimensions, Rock Table is suited to both residential and hospitality contexts, offering sculptural presence and design adaptability.

Randomino Mdf

Twenty years after its debut, the Random bookcase remains an icon of contemporary design. Created by Neuland Industriedesign, it retains its signature graphic rhythm and architectural rigor.

Now offered in new configurations—Random 2C, 3C, and 5C—and an expanded palette that includes the warm, textured finish of Random Wood, the collection is more versatile than ever.

Randomito offers a reinterpretation on a smaller scale: a modular wall-mounted bookcase with the same dynamic spirit as the original, acting as a lightweight, sculptural accent that brings movement and personality to any setting.
