Smooth lines and a fluid design inspired by the great modernist pavilions. The striking furniture collection by Molteni&C|Dada2022 combines organic playfulness with ethereal lightness. Each piece is designed to provide comfort and highlight the seamless interaction between human beings and an ever more dynamic and changing space. The Cleo sofa turns into the perfect soft and enveloping seating, the Living box enriches the living room with new material details.
A graceful curvilinear shell shapes the silhouette of the Cleo sofa, the new design by architect and creative director Vincent Van Duysen for Molteni&C. This cozy place was envisioned to be enveloping, comfortable and beautiful, featuring thin painted steel sheet feet that make it float in the living room. The modular system comes from the combination of various elements, straight, corner and island that provide countless solutions, which are also customizable in colors and materials, including contrasting ones. The perfect sofa on which to disconnect and relax after an exhausting day.
A new interpretation of the classic deckchair that emerged in the mid 1950s, Vincent Van Duysen's Yoell highlights the departure from the original canvas seating system. Designed for lounging on patios and living rooms, Yoell is shaped anatomically through the use of a thin polyurethane layer attached to the upper and lower cross-bars of the structure. The continuous, seamless result emphasizes the lines and upholstery, available in Molteni&C textiles, leather or hide-leather.
Elegant and geometric, Ignazio Gardella's Blevio table inaugurates the collaboration with Gardella Historical Archive and emphasizes the creative process of removing the superfluous. Revisited from the sole existing example dated 1930, Blevio stands out for its sinuous and essential forms and its striking finish: a special metal powder varnish that is suitable for contemporary dining tables. A synthesis of form and function, the table features a unique pattern of counter curves and shaped elements that contribute to its stability and emphasize its textural consistency.
Janet is the result of a precise processing of wood that produces rounded, sinuous lines. Vincent VanDuysen designs a practical and elegant chair for Molteni&C, featuring a solid wood frame and an integrated seat and backrest system that ensures the utmost ergonomics and comfort. Available with and without armrest, Janet reveals sturdiness and strength, fitting perfectly with any type of dining table.
Monumental design, fine material details and the complete absence of doors. Living Box, a piece of furniture designed to enhance the living room area, features large support tops in different sizes and materials on the outside, and a storage compartment reminiscent of a "magic cave" on the inside. The interesting combination of geometric shapes and coverings, such as marbles and woods, and the effect produced by the built-in interior lighting, makes Living Box a unique and magnetic piece of architectural furniture. The interior seems to be almost framed by the outer shell in a subtle and filiform design. The top can be arranged and integrated with a tape container to facilitate the connection of various multimedia devices.
