Molteni&C New Collection 2021, a tribute to the great talents of Italian architecture.

D.847.1, the small console table/writing desk designed by Gio Ponti in 1947, comes back to life thanks to the Heritage Collection reissue project by Molteni&C, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives. The masterpiece is the highest expression of craftsmanship in solid wood processing, and portrays a modern and slender, almost airy, silhouette. The curved ends of the writing desk recall an airplane wing. The small drawer underneath with a rounded front is an innovation, which would frequently return as a stylemark in many Gio Ponti pieces.

With its minimalist design and rich material variety, Half a Square is the new collection of rectangular and square tables, conceived by designer Michael Anastassiades. Aluminum, marble, reflective glass and eucalyptus are the selected materials that define its aesthetic quality, elegance and design.

Tea is an homage to lightness. The project by London designer Jasper Morrison redefines the concept of chair from a contemporary perspective, adapting it to any kind of furniture.

The iconic Round D.154.5 armchair, designed in 1954 by Gio Ponti, is brought to light thanks to the careful study of drawings, photos and period materials that has made it possible to faithfully reproduce the piece in every detail. The project name, Round D.154.5, comes from the rounded shape of the seat and backrests, also called "soap bar". Characterized by a curved plywood structure and pewter or brushed brass feet, Round D.154.5 can be covered with all textiles and leathers of the Molteni&C collection, from leathers to textiles with reduced environmental impact.
