This is Marcel Wanders, creative director of Moooi, product and interior designer who experiments with a new stylistic approach that is able to excite, combining craftsmanship with exclusive and daring forms. Moooi has been inspiring and seducing his customers for over 20 years, creating useful objects with an impactful personality, such as the the Liberty table, the No Screw No Glue cabinet and the NR2 and Farooo floor lamps, which easily adapt to people's lives, becoming a creative and vital core of their spaces.
The soft, gentle light of the Pliè Plissè suspension lamp seems to dance among the small pleated folds of the honeycomb-patterned shade. The design, conceived by Moooi and inspired by kinetic movements, was meant to be functional as well as beautiful. In fact, thanks to the adjustment of the structure, it will be possible to control the intensity of the diffused light according to the available space and the specific needs.
The innate elegance of the Container Table combines the lightness of a round top with a sculptural tapered column base. Designed by Marcel Wanders, it was conceived to be a versatile object with a simple, essential, almost naked design that can characterize the space, turning into the focal point for designing the home. It can accommodate up to ten people and is customizable in color and size.
The classic lines of No Screw No Glue cabinet get a modern and lively twist, thanks to the choice of an eco-friendly material such as Richlite, made of recycled paper and EcoBind resin. Sustainable and "DIY", this Moooi cabinet does not need screws or glue. It will be sufficient to assemble the elements by sliding them into each other to shape a useful, durable and timeless object.
Marcel Wanders designed the structure of the Farooo floor lamp inspired by the beam of light that once acted as guidance for ships. The glow, intimate and delicate, accompanies a sinuous and classic silhouette, characterized though by a contemporary lampshade. It is a combination that reveals the perfect harmony between modern elements and vintage shapes. The lamp, with its imposing dimensions, is available in three different sizes.
