Simple shapes, minimalist lines and distinctive design. The Danish company Gubi presents four new proposals suspended between past and future, inspired by distant lands. Unbound Collection and Private Collection introduce furniture elements that combine, from a contemporary perspective, functionality and aesthetics, on the other hand The Howard Collection and Stemlite Collection light up the spaces with romance and charm.
Like a peeping flower, the new Stemlite wall lighting joins the iconic collection, designed by Bill Curry in 1962, that looks for a strong and almost necessary connection with nature. More current than ever, it is improved with a dimmable intensity adjustment system.
The Howard collection of lamps is a seductive combination of contrasts that fully reflects the personality of the Space Copenhagen studio. The graceful and sinuous aesthetics of the structure reveal an industrial soul, inspired by the beautiful city of New York and even more marked by a precise choice of materials. On the one hand there is brass, processed with a surface treatment in gunmetal, on the other, a Von Bone China finish, softer and more sensual, that lets the light filter through the whole environment.
Distinctive aesthetics and stylistic simplicity. The Private Collection fully interprets Gubi's identity with sober and captivating details that create a new compositional balance. The ancient Japanese woodworking techniques are applied to produce a contemporary design that favors materials and pure shapes through an interesting visual alternation of open and closed spaces.
Inspired by traditional Japanese paper lanterns, the Unbound Collection welcomes poetry and elegance, merging minimalist geometric shapes and luminous glows with ethereal charm. The lampshade in white linen or natural canvas rotates, almost suspended, on a tear-shaped marble base and reveals a light and asymmetrical joint. It is a sculptural lamp that balances function and form, a piece that does not prevail over the setting, but rather, establishes an intimate connection with it.
A new take on an old classic. Evergreen and versatile, the Multi-Lite collection evokes the golden age of Danish design with its timeless forms. First designed in 1972, it became a refined and classy artistic expression, capable of multiple combinations and of radiating a soft, deep light. Multi-Lite reflects a passion for diversity. Two cylindrical forms support the frame of the lamp, combined with a metal ring and two sophisticated quarter-spherical shades, producing light emissions that enhance flawlessly any atmosphere.
