Normann Copenhagen 2025: Immersive Spaces and Bold New Visions at 3daysofdesign

At the 2025 edition of 3daysofdesign, Normann Copenhagen reaffirms its commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary design, unveiling a series of new products that blend functionality with environmental consciousness. Since its founding in 1999, the brand has pursued a clear mission: to challenge conventional thinking. It embraces design as a tool to improve life, foster meaningful connections between people and spaces, and elevate the value of everyday objects.

Among the standout pieces this year is the eclectic Delta Proust table, a bold exploration of color, form, and materiality that echoes Alessandro Mendini’s iconic Proust motif. Created in collaboration with Elisa and Fulvia Mendini (Alessandro Mendini Archive), the vibrant mosaic features seven colors and two shades of white in a pixelated pattern where no two pieces are alike—transforming each table into a unique work of art.

The original motif, first seen in Mendini’s revolutionary Proust Armchair, draws inspiration from Paul Signac’s pointillist technique, marked by the layering of countless small brushstrokes. In Delta Proust, that artistic language is translated into a plastic form with dynamic contours that shift depending on the viewing angle, evoking a sense of movement and spontaneity.

Designed by Simon Legald, the Kube sofa revisits mid-century modern design through a sculptural, cubist lens.

Its bold, almost brutalist wooden structure is softened by generously padded cushions that cover the seat, backrest, and armrests. This interplay of rigidity and softness creates a balanced composition rooted in contrasts.

The exposed frame highlights the beauty of craftsmanship through the precise assembly of thick pine boards, giving the sofa a dynamic and sculptural presence. Over time, the wood develops a natural patina that adds character and depth to the piece.

The Knit armchair is a study in comfort and refined simplicity, distinguished by light lines and a soft, enveloping silhouette.

Its name derives from the elastic knit fabric that stretches seamlessly over the frame, creating a smooth, wrinkle-free surface that emphasizes its ergonomic design.

The gently curved backrest follows the body’s natural contours, offering support during extended periods of use.

Lift is a lightweight, multifunctional coffee table designed to adapt to diverse everyday needs. Perfect beside a sofa or bed—or even as a temporary workstation—it features an adjustable height and easy mobility.

Its design is as functional as it is expressive, with a distinctive curved support that flows into a sculptural base, creating a solid yet visually airy presence.

Softy is a modular seating system that blends Danish and Japanese influences into a celebration of comfort. Designed to deliver a sense of lightness and embrace—both visual and tactile—the system juxtaposes a structured outer frame with plush, inviting cushions.

This dialogue between precision and softness creates a comforting sense of enclosure, like a room within a room.

The Phantom collection expands with two striking new pieces: the Phantom floor lamp and the Phantom table lamp. Both maintain the ethereal grandeur of the original pendant version, using the same semi-transparent resin to sculpt a multi-layer form inspired by chandeliers and classical columns—dramatic yet delicate.

The new table lamp distills this visual language into a more compact, versatile format, ideal for shelves, coffee tables, or bedside settings. Its layered form softly diffuses a warm and atmospheric light.

For 3daysofdesign, Normann Copenhagen also introduces two new variants of the Timb collection: a refined brown finish and a version entirely upholstered in Kvadrat’s Hallingdal fabric.

The simple FSC™-certified ash frame is elevated by new textures and colors, opening up fresh expressive possibilities for both residential and contract settings.

With courage, quality, and a deep sense of responsibility, Normann Copenhagen continues to shape a future where excellence is quietly expressed—through objects that speak softly, yet with enduring impact. In this vision, design transcends its traditional boundaries, becoming a quiet but powerful force in everyday life.
