The Office, a versatile and increasingly sustainable space
Work environments become places to experience, both functional and long lasting. Each piece of furniture must be created to be molded and configured to satisfy specific needs in order to guarantee absolute comfort even during working hours. The focus is increasingly on sustainable choices, capable of reducing environmental impact and respecting nature. Fiber Chair by Muuto and the Mixu collection of chairs and stools by Arper are examples of this, thanks to the possibility to choose the backs and seats in recycled materials.
Now a symbol of design, USM Haller is a modular furniture system that can be adapted to everyone's needs. Each element, open or closed, is created to offer a timeless, durable and resistant functionality and design. Customisable in size and colour, USM Haller is now also available with the new electromechanical C lock and the intuitive USM application developed specifically by the brand to manage storage spaces.
Thanks to RFID and Bluetooth technology, it is in fact possible to monitor each element and guarantee specific access to certain people. Furthermore, the new C lock is also compatible with existing USM furniture, thanks to the possibility of replacing only a single piece.
Designed in collaboration with Gensler, the Mixu collection of chairs and stools by Arper is characterised by a simple and functional shape. The seat, backrest and base system can be totally customised both in materials and nuances, in order to meet every type of need and style. With delicate and clean lines, Mixu is the union of overlapping geometries, chosen to give total creative freedom. Perfect for office spaces, it has been conceived with an eye on sustainability: the seat, in fact, is also available in post-industrial recycled plastic or FSC-certified wood.
Soft and tactile, the matt surface of the Fiber Chair by Muuto is a practical representation of how design can be increasingly sustainable. Inspired by the classic shell shape, it was made using 80% recycled material, coming from post-industrial waste from eyewear manufacturers, and FSC-certified wood fibres. Its inviting lines and the possibility to choose the swivel base with or without wheels, make it a perfect piece of furniture for all office workstations. The Fiber Chair 2022 collection includes seats with or without armrests and a wide palette of colours from which to choose, selected to withstand daily use and incessant work rhythms. Conceived to adapt to all tables and ensure maximum comfort in a confined space, the Fiber Chair sheds excess to become a functional and harmonious chair with an unmistakable Scandinavian style.
Included in the Living Divani 2022 collection, the Aero D desk, designed by Shibuleru, is the emblem of compositional simplicity. The monobloc top is made up of two parallel elements fixed together by a central “H” support while the MDF side shelves add lightness and essentiality. Open storage compartments and space in which to house the electrical sockets make Aero D a functional and elegant complement, with a minimal design, perfect for adapting to all styles and creating a practical home office corner.
