Bringing indoor comfort outside: designing dining, living, and lounge areas for the open air

More than just a heat source, Spin by Höfats is a visual centerpiece. This table lantern, fueled by bioethanol, creates a hypnotic spiral of flame enclosed in borosilicate glass. A vertical sculpture of light, it elevates any summer table setting with warmth and atmosphere.

Born from an unexpected yet refined mix of materials, the Bitta collection by Rodolfo Dordoni for Kettal expresses a tactile, welcoming approach to outdoor living. Robust aluminum structures are softened by handwoven polyester rope and generous cushions, offering a perfect balance between solidity and lightness. Dining tables bring together natural teak and stone, creating subtle contrasts of texture and tone. The collection’s name—Bitta, the Italian word for a mooring bollard—recalls the world of sailing, echoed in the braided cords that reference nautical ropes. With their enveloping shapes and airy design, Bitta's seats are ideal for open-air lounges, offering a sense of comfort, intimacy, and understated elegance.

Open-air wellness between air and water

From freestanding bathtubs to hammocks and suspended seating, outdoor wellness areas become places of calm and renewal. The connection with nature—sky, water, and earth—offers emotional and physical regeneration.

Wave by Royal Botania is a hammock crafted in stainless steel and Batyline, a high-performance polyester mesh coated in weather-resistant PVC designed to withstand the elements while offering exceptional comfort. Its aerodynamic form, inspired by the movement of flight, creates the illusion of suspension—as if floating effortlessly between sky and earth.

Designed by Nanna Ditzel for Sika Design, the Evelyn rocking chair is crafted from natural-looking, maintenance-free materials that resist the elements without compromising on elegance. An ode to quiet moments and open-air rituals, Evelyn invites you to surrender to the rhythm of a sunny afternoon or to share precious time in the open air. Its enveloping oval silhouette, defined by a meticulous artisanal weave, offers both visual lightness and structural strength.

Designed by Benedini Associati for Agape, the In-Out bathtub stands out for its sculptural presence and essential geometry. Its distinctive round basin, available in solid surface, marble, or concrete, lends the piece a bold, architectural character while maintaining a sense of purity and balance. Thanks to its clean lines and strong materiality, In-Out adapts effortlessly to a wide variety of outdoor settings. In its concrete version, the material interacts harmoniously with water, creating a secluded place of silence and purification—an ideal centerpiece for a refined, private outdoor spa experience.

A sculptural work carved from stone, Vascabarca is the result of the vision of Anne and Patrick Poirier for Antoniolupi. Offered as a limited edition, this bathtub is made from a single block of Stone Grey, excavated and shaped into a streamlined, sculptural form that evokes the image of a boat hull. To make each piece even more unique, Vascabarca can be personalized on request with a name engraved on the stern. A new material language takes shape in Antoniolupi's research: Cristalmood is characterised by crystalline transparency and distinctive brilliance, latest-generation polyester resin, colourable, resistant and incredibly versatile.

Designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, Allaperto Nautic reinterprets nautical style through refined outdoor design. In addition to armchairs, sofas, and coffee tables, the collection includes unique pieces such as swings and suspended chairs.
