Salone del Mobile 2022, the new outdoor trends

The sixtieth edition of the Salone del Mobile was characterized by the rediscovered pleasure of sharing thoughts, ideas and spaces, with particular attention paid to green design and the rediscovery of outdoor environments. From verandas to gardens, outdoor trends focused on refined design and precious and sustainable materials, in a continuity of style with the living room. New collections and evolutions of iconic pieces of furniture contribute to create elegant and evocative atmospheres for moments of relaxation and conviviality.

The style and craftsmanship of Baxter's new outdoor collections express the idea of beauty, quality and pleasure in life, a synthesis of the Made in Italy spirit. Furniture imbued with emotions and references, such as Himba by Roberto Lazzeroni, whose sculptural furnishings draw upon African inspirations, with a preference for the use of natural materials. Elements that, devoid of cushions, furnish and decorate like real wooden sculptures with pure and expressive lines.

The Dharma collection, designed by Studiopepe, plays with the contrasts of form and texture: on the one hand soft comfortable sofas, seating and day beds in natural materials, on the other hand, lacquered sculptural objects, essential and squared.

Flexform Desco

Retro inspiration, light lines and refined natural weaves define Parker, the new Flexform outdoor sofa designed by Antonio Citterio. The structure is in steel and solid iroko, the backrest and armrests are hand-woven and the large single padded seat is generous and comfortable, and is accompanied by cushions which lay on the rope backrest. In addition to the two- and three-seater sofas and pouf, the collection includes an element with a single backrest and armrest that allows for specific configurations.

Like large trays, the different sized removable tops of the Brise collection by Gervasoni rest on two different types of bases: a light steel, which can be matched tone-on-tone or in contrasting shades, and another which is cylindrical in form. In addition to their differing shapes, sizes and heights, the tables are also available in three shades: cream and vibrant red and blue.
