Poltrona Frau's new arrivals at the 2023 Design Week
Tradition, craftsmanship and elegance are the driving forces behind the new furniture collection presented by Poltrona Frau at the 2023 Design Week. The new concept explores the theme of "plaisir de vivre", shaping new ways of understanding authentic design. From the 1950s inspired DUO Collection resulting from the collaboration with Ceccotti Collezioni, the Dezza series with the never-before-seen "Redevance" edition designed by Gio Ponti, to the limited edition Infinitamente table-sculpture, the new proposals define a new aesthetic perspective.
The result of the encounter between Poltrona Frau and Ceccotti Collezioni, the DUO collection by the famous Italian designer Roberto Lazzeroni comes from the union of two different experiences converging towards a common vision. Between memory and innovation, and inspired by the Italian "Dolce Vita" and the typical 1950s living rooms, the DUO furniture line evokes a timeless, carefree and elegant design.
A symbol of the company's first collaboration with a designer, the Dezza series, presented by Poltrona Frau and Gio Ponti in 1965, comes in a brand new edition. The original "Redevance" graphic pattern, designed by Ponti himself, has been meticulously retrieved through careful research in the brand's archives. Exclusive and refined, the Redevance fabric displays a precious printed wool satin and an extraordinary sheen with a two-colour geometric motif.
The brainchild of designer Roberto Lazzeroni, the sculptural "Infinitamente" marble table , available in a limited edition, represents the encounter between supreme marble elegance and contemporary design. Bianco Levigliani and Nero Marquinia merge into a harmonious and statuesque work of modern architecture.
The Archibald sofa, a new addition presented at the 2023 Salone, represents a perfectly successful combination of form and substance. The Archibald family is thus expanded with a seating proposal defined by a comfortable and enveloping design with vertical folds and stitching for an additional elegant touch, which invites to moments of quietness and meditation.
