Thanks to complex processing techniques and computerised methods of bending and welding, the designer models the essential and minimal shapes, creating a continuous graphic sign. The use of different materials and shades make Plasma a comfortable and eclectic product, to be combined with a coordinated footrest.
Like small coloured bubbles, the polyurethane cushions of the Plasma armchair punctuate the sinuous structure, almost floating suspended. The soft light shapes are distributed symmetrically, giving life to an expanse of harmonic curves. Therefore the seat appears spacious and comfortable, as well as imaginative, thanks to the possibility of choosing between three different shades of colour. In fabric or soft Swedish leather, the cushions are independent of each other.
Perfect for both indoors and outdoors use, Plasma is characterised by a thin structure in powder-coated steel. The lightness desired by the designer Nigel Coates takes the form of an almost naked metal mesh that welcomes the solid coloured padding. An unusual combination, capable of making both elements, structure and cushions, protagonists, and of giving dynamism to the entire composition
