The Italian-French brand Radar Interior, founded in 2016 by designers Francesca Bertini and Bastien Taillard, reinterprets traditional materials to create stunning lighting creations. The lamps in the collection, with their sculptural and minimal lines, reveal a timeless beauty that combines contemporary flair with classic elegance. Glass, marble and brass shine in modern and new forms, becoming the absolute protagonists and highlighting the work of expert craftsmen. From the beauty of brass in Lafayette to the sophisticated use of marble in the Jupiter wall lamp, each piece is the outcome of constant formal experimentation.
Precious and sublime. The Lafayette suspension lamp is one of Radar interior's latest creations. A tribute to France under the Sun King and 19th century Paris, the lamp features thin, juxtaposed brass strips and can be customized by opening its various flexible rays or by maintaining a flat, more minimalist profile. It is a golden glow that defines the mood of any space and makes Lafayette an incredible luminous sculpture.
Its striking surface, which reminds of moving water, can reflect light and create stunning visual effects. The Nebbia lamp is made of hand hammered glass (silver, bronze and iris) and features visible ripples that give the idea of a transition from solid to liquid. Its compositional lightness, sublime reflections and direct light, make it a functional lighting element suitable for any setting.
The pure and minimal circular shapes blend with the hardness of white marble to create the Jupiter wall or ceiling lamp. The thickness of the discs, just 1 mm, allows light to filter through the natural veins, resulting in a unique object and a true work of art. The unrepeatable features of the material create a spectacular graphic effect that marks the uniqueness of each piece.
Its decorations are classic, with splendid Paris plaster inspired by the Haussmannien style, while its geometry is modern and minimal, the perfect expression of Radar Interior's distinctive flair. Rivoli, a wall and ceiling lamp in the collection, brings a breath of elegance to the walls, producing striking embossed scenes that can reach up to one meter in diameter.
The plasters, colored according to the specific needs of each project, attest to the uniqueness of each piece.
Presented at Milano Design Week 2021, the Solar suspension lamp is the ultimate synthesis of simplicity and strong expressive power. Designed by Samuel Accoceberry and created by expert craftsmen, Solar creates dynamic and light compositions through the sinuous nature of handmade thermoformed glass.
