Evocative and functional, Baxter's new collection of indoor and outdoor furniture presented at the 2023 Design Week combines soft lines and minimalist shapes, perfectly blending into any context. The brand chooses an outstanding location, La Casa sul Lago, to present the new pieces following a geometric and captivating fil rouge. From the softness of the Jo sofa to the colourful pattern of the Aran rug, each piece fully embodies Baxter's essential and elegant style.
La Casa sul Lago, a restored early 20th century villa near Lake Como, is transformed into an evocative and magical place with Baxter's new 2023 collection of home décor pieces. The idea underlying the project was to preserve the living context, creating functional solutions with a strong dramatic impact. Everything revolves around material and chromatic contrasts, with geometric wallpapers acting as the fil rouge and leading the visitor through elegant and bold atmospheres. Electric blue and cognac alternate with light and neutral tones, emphasising the new furniture and framing the splendid architecture of the rooms. Resulting from the intention of creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, Baxter also presents an outdoor furniture series.
Sinuous and soft lines are the key features of the So Good armchair by Studiopepe, which draws inspiration from the 1970s design while reinterpreting its shape in a more contemporary twist. A tubular chrome frame supports an oversized leather seat that exudes comfort and relaxation. Made of unique leather, So Good can also be paired easily with modern pieces and is available in hand-brushed burnished metal or polished chrome-plated metal finishes.
Created by designers Draga & Aurel, the Dune coffee table consists of a single fibreglass piece that seems to take on different and dynamic shapes. Versatile and with a strong visual impact, it is a functional and lightweight piece that is also suited to be combined with other elements.
The modular and cosy Jo sofa, created by Draga & Aurel, is designed to envelop you completely with its wide seat and soft cushions that cover the entire backrest. The matt black lacquered metal frame is supported by cylindrical feet in antique or burnished brass or satin nickel, providing a new sense of lightness. Only available in soft leathers, Jo is the perfect addition to any living room.
Available in three different colours and handmade in Nepal, the Aran rug stands out for its soft, sinuous pattern that recalls the branches of a river. Baxter's new collection emphasises the viscose fabric and the processing of natural hemp, a rough and dry material that accentuates the rug's visual and tactile appeal. Due to the special knotting (80 knots) and hand stitching, its three-dimensional effect is clearly visible.
