Seen in Milan: design week news

Design does not stop and returns as the main protagonist, like every April. From April 12th to 18th, the spotlight will be on Milan Design Week 2021 and the brands will present, digitally and live, their new products.
 Pacific by Moroso
Round and enfolding shapes for the new Pacific collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, including a modular sofa and an armchair.
 Molteni
Molteni & C. presents the faithful re-edition of a masterpiece by Gio Ponti: the Round D.154.5 armchair, a piece that can be dismantled and customized thanks to the selection of fabrics and leather upholstery.
 Flos
Among the Flos 2021 news, the In Vitro Unplugged outdoor lamp, designed by Philippe Starck. A blown-glass lanterna, a pure architectural volume of light. Easy to carry thanks to the comfortable handle and to the absence of plugs and wires.
Globe Burst

In full Tom Dixon style, the Burst chandelier is visually and spatially impactful. It consists of 12 spheres that seem to have exploded from the core of the chandelier, available in brass or chrome finish. Their surface is a riot of reflections and references with a extreme reflective power.

MrWolf by Antonio Lupi is the new bathroom ladder towel holder, a versatile structure that leans on the wall and furnishes the space. The ladder is made of brass and painted in the colours of the brand's chromatic range. Informal, elegant, lightweight, solid, minimalist in its shape but expressive in its overall image.

Zanotta introduces Ambrosiano, a minimalist table conceived in balance between home and work spaces.
 Mmemphis
Memphis presents Night Tales, a collection designed by Masanori Umeda. A new family of products becomes part of the Post Design collections. Utamaro includes a double bed, a sofa and an armchair, inspired by the erotic rituals of the Edo period, by women and by the traditional interior setting represented by the Japanese painter Kitagawa Utamaro.
Giorgetti, with designer Roberto Lazzeroni, presents the 2021 collection focused on multitasking transformism. Houdini, the storage unit with secret compartments, expresses all the uniqueness of the company's cabinet-making tradition.

Coral, by Marco Acerbis for Talenti, is a collection inspired by modularity and characterized by auminium and rope. The clean lines and the balanced compositions are enriched by a series of accessories that allow a high level of usability and comfort.
Pholc, the renowned Swedish design brand, presents the new Romb lamp, whose rhomboidal shape is inspired by architectural models.

On the occasion of Venini’s centenary, Mohd releases a special edition of the iconic Opalino 706.22 vase, created by Paolo Venini in 1932. The famous Opalino, with its neoclassical tone and elegant countersink, is made exclusively for Mohd in a limited series of 49 vases in the exclusive bicolour version, oxblood red on the outside and Amethyst on the inside.
Balance and lightness inspire Win, the outdoor collection by Paola Navone for Gervasoni: modular sofas and armchairs with white or gray lacquered aluminum frame and armrests in natural teak.

The Modulor wall panelling system by Rimadesio is in constant evolution, and in 2021 it features new storage functions thanks to the addition of equipped compartments and customized wardrobe elements. The wardrobe compartments and the wall panels alternate in a linear and perfectly uniform project. Designed by Giuseppe Bavuso.
When materials are modulated in a surprising range of finishes, they create attractive chromatic combinations, a tribute to the world of women and the natural sphere. Ceccotti Collezioni, a brand from Tuscany famous for its expressively artisanal designer creations, proposes among other new pieces the Evenmore table by Roberto Lazzeroni. The rectangular solid wood frame meets the legs with a Japanese-inspired joint.

Pure lines, soft pastel shades, precious materials, in&outdoor elegance and textile refinement. Paola Lenti’s new 2021 collection focuses on materials innovation and sustainability.
