The “clubhouse” office: the bureau becomes a place of inspiration.

The concept of workspace is changing radically, and with it the design of office environments, which are becoming more and more flexible and open to several services. The office is becoming a social hub where people can work, share ideas and socialize, in a dimension that is essentially focused on the needs of each individual. International companies such as Vitra, Herman Miller and Knoll are giving shape to new "clubhouses" to strengthen social cohesion, experiment with new living languages and support the psychological and physical well-being of their employees.

 Club Office Vitra
Conceived as a productive and ever-changing place of belonging, the Club Office imagined by Vitra is a welcoming and original space where areas with different functions coexist. Modular ergonomic sofas and new dividing elements completely redesign the static office concept, experimenting with a new distribution of spaces. The focus shifts from the private area, with individual workspaces, to the semi-public area, used for project work in which it is important to rely on flexible and versatile furniture.

It is all about flexibility. People are looking for places where they feel comfortable and for furniture that can adjust to their work. The Thriving Workplace project by Knoll highlights the inclination to imagine new dynamic workspaces that take advantage of several functions. The surface is organized with refreshment points, private areas for independent working, meeting rooms and common spaces for discussion. All in a perspective of continuous connection between people. The central area represents the core of the space, where you can exchange ideas or sit and think.
