Always focused on experimentation and stylistic research, the Danish brand Vipp presents a new piece of furniture that simultaneously celebrates minimalism and baroque beauty at Salone del Mobile 2023: the Swivel chair. Surrounded by the historical opulence of Palazzo Monti, this exclusive piece will take centre stage in an installation curated by Vipp and created by Danish interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard, who has transformed the palace's interiors into a pop-up hotel.
Vipp's exhibition setup at Mohd's Milan showroom, located at Via Filippo Turati 3, perfectly reflects the brand's sophisticated style by combining functionality and beauty. It has been designed on two levels: the ground floor houses the new addition to the collection, the Swivel Chair Monti Edition, while the first floor offers a realistic layout of the rooms. With its neutral and delicate colour palette, the open floor plan allows you to discover the brand's furniture proposals and fully grasp their flexibility. We move from a lounge area to two dining areas, designed using different pieces and lights to achieve a contemporary and versatile look.
Created to embellish the interiors of Palazzo Monti in an impressive installation, Vipp's Swivel chair lends elegance and charm to any space. The upholstery fabric specifically chosen for the historical venue, which has been made in Italy by Torri Lana, is a limited edition inspired by the frescoes found inside the palace and represents a connection between Scandinavian minimalism and Baroque maximalism.
With its 360 degree rotating seat, this swivel chair guarantees absolute flexibility of use, which makes it perfect for meeting rooms and offices where prolonged sitting time is required. Also available on wheels, its elegant and minimalist design features a four-legged base and a soft, comfortable seat.
The geometrical Vipp655 pouf can be used as a footstool, side table or seat, embellishing the living room with a versatile and elegant touch. Its six-piece construction in Soprano upholstery lends this piece a sculptural and eye-catching appearance.
With a height of 38.5 cm and a diameter of 80 cm, the hexagonal Vipp655 pouf features rounded edges and linear details. The wooden frame provides excellent resistance and durability.
With its light grey limestone from Burgundy, France, enriched with hints of brown, and its dark solid oak base, the Cabin round table is designed to accommodate eight people, reflecting a thousand-year old story of uniqueness and delicate nuances. The stone's natural texture has been protected with a special soft brush technique that preserves its authenticity.
The Sculpture pendant lamp, made of three layers of mouth-blown glass, stands out for its soft and delicate lines which make it suitable for any type of space. Its unique details, like the grooved matt shade, lend this lamp a unique and sophisticated aesthetic appeal. Due to the presence of an LED bulb, it is possible to adjust the intensity of the light, thus modulating the illumination according to the task at hand and the preferred ambience.
Located on the first floor of Palazzo Monti, a 13th-century palace in the heart of Brescia, the installation, curated by Vipp and created by Danish interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard, combines historical ornaments and classical lines with the brand's typical Scandinavian and contemporary design.
From 18 April to 18 May 2023, a part of the palace will be transformed into a temporary venue dedicated to hospitality, a pop-up hotel in an unusual location. The stylish furniture and home décor pieces featured in Vipp's collection will be the focal points of the rooms along with the new Swivel chair, which was presented at the Salone del Mobile 2023. All the pieces will embellish the large suite, designed to accommodate only two guests at a time, consisting of a living room, bedroom, office and bathroom.
